Step by Step process of boiling the Hair
1.In a saucepan, bring water to a boil. Add any oil, I used baby oil, but any hair oil will do, as well as a leave-in conditioner or silicon mix intensive hair.
2.Insert the hair when the mixture is thoroughly boiled, do this process very slowly making sure each strand of hair is immersed into the water. At this point, the water is very hot so please be careful to use tongs or a wooden spoon to stir the hair in the pot.
3.Check the hair on a regular basis, flipping the wig gently in the pot to ensure that each hair strand is thoroughly boiled. Do this only twice because the water is extremely hot and can burn you if you are not careful.
4.Boil the hair for approximately 10-12 minutes, depending on the degree of damage; at this point, you should notice the hair becoming extremely soft.
5.Towel dry the wig and allow it to air dry after this process; do not use a hairdryer.
6.The hair should be soft and tangle-free, and you can now style it!!
7.Your hair has returned to its original state, with no excessive hair loss as a result of brushing out the wig.
Additional tips
- Only use 1 to 2 tablespoons of the leave-in conditioner
- If your wig has been colored do not overboil as this may mess up the hair color do this process in less than 7 minutes to retain color
- If the hair is a bit dry after boiling use a hair serum or a little bit of the leave-in conditioner
